All about me

Welcome to Donna Shepard! I am super excited to begin the school year with my new fifth grade babies. I know that both the students and I will learn together and have fun while doing it.

This school year will be my ninth year teaching Bilingual students. I feel like I have the BEST job in the school building! Why? My students are hardworking, motivated, and have the desire to be the best. Who wouldn't want to have students like mine? My first two years of experience were in kindergarten and then decided to give fourth grade a chance. I liked fourth grade so much that I wanted to try fifth grade and I found out that I LOVED fifth grade. The 2014-2015 school year will be my second year teaching in Mansfield. I am proud to teach in Mansfield because I grew up in Mansfield and I received my education through Mansfield schools. Shout out to Erma Nash, Mary Orr, Worley, and Mansfield High School!

I have a son named Gianluca who is five years old. He is the love of my life and I wouldn't have it any other way. He just started kindergarten this year and it was very hard to let him go, but I can say that he thinks his teacher and school are awesome. Gianluca and I enjoy dancing to music, reading, traveling, visiting museums, going to the movies, bowling, and going to the park. He keeps me active and wanting more from life. This summer we were blessed enough to travel to Playa del Carmen, Miami, and the Bahamas. My parents instilled the importance of making memories, spending time with family, learning new languages and cultures. I hope to instill the same values in my son and students.
